My Divorce Story….Page 1
I have decided I am going, to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help me God. I am going to share it in segments here on my divorce recovery blog. I have been silent way too long. For today I am just going to share a photo and some scripture….
"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans
for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope".
Jeremiah 29:11
My story to follow…..
Keep giving all your cares and concerns to God for he cares for you!
I am in awe of your continued faith. I was very close to God before I got married, but He hasn't spoken to me since, well, I got married. It is hard to stay faithful when there is no one on the other end. Maybe someday...
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading your story. It helps me to write it all out; I hope you find the same comfort.
Hi, Marcy ~ please remember God often left people alone in the Old Testament when he wanted to strengthen them to become great leaders. Sometimes he stays silent to see what we will do when we don't hear from him ~ stay faithful or cut-n-run (& pout)? I'm speaking as a recovering "victim". I used to see myself as the "v-word", but now I am shored up by God's strength & love; don't have to rely on my "puny" (psalm 119;141) self. Use the psalms as prayers to refresh your faith. Notice how David wrote many of them. Remember he was an adulterer and murderer who repented and God still loved him. God is waiting to hear from you/us. Every day, every minute, He's there, listening to see if we will call on Him in love so He can show His love back to us: "If you, who are sinners, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?" Take a minute to spend time alone with Him. He's there. :) In His Love, T.
